LORRIE LAUREL

Owner, Physical Therapist

  • Lorrie Laurel, Physical Therapist and owner of Chipley Physical and Aquatic Therapy, is responsible for performing initial evaluations, updating patient treatment, and all of the duties of the co-owner of the establishment. Lorrie also heads our marketing department and is the creator of our individualized aquatic therapy program. Lorrie’s main objective is to facilitate healing and development efficiently and effectively.

  • Lorrie has been with the company since 2003, initially working part-time until moving to full-time as the company expanded to our sister locations. Before working at Chipley Physical Therapy, Lorrie worked with Doctor’s Memorial Hospital in their physical therapy department, 

  • Lorrie Laurel graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy in 1996 from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Lorrie has continued her education over the years and has multiple certifications to guarantee the best quality care for her patients. 

  • Seeing Lorrie around the office is as common as hitting a bullseye blindfolded, working from home most of the time. When she finally manages some time for herself, Lorrie enjoys spending time sitting around the fire or watching movies with her husband Ruben and their four kids, ten dogs, two cats, and one tortoise. 

Clinical Manager, Physical Therapist Assistant

  • Spring Holcombe, Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, works as our Clinic Supervisor. Her job duties include but are not limited to completing patient treatment within the scope of the patient Plan of Care established by the Physical Therapist, as well as to ensure the clinic is run efficiently and effectively in order to allow for the best care possible for each and every client. 

  • Spring has been with the company for a little over two years. Overall, she has eleven years of experience as a PTA, with five of those years coinciding with a management role. Her experience ranges from Home Health Care to Skilled Nursing, Inpatient and Outpatient.

  • Spring graduated with her A.A. of Physical Therapy Assistant as well as a general A.A. from Gulf Coast Community College in 2010. Throughout her career, she has obtained numerous additional credentials and is licensed as a Certified Lymphedema Therapist, Oncology Rehabilitation Specialist, Parkinson's Wellness Recovery Professional, Certified Kinesio Taping Technician, and a Licensed Massage Therapist. Spring has also received extensive manual training to utilize a plethora of techniques to obtain the best possible outcomes such as Muscle Energy Techniques, Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, Reflexology, Cupping, and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization to name a few.

  • In her spare time, Spring enjoys spending time with her kids, gardening, traveling to new destinations, and being out on the water. Her dream is to own and operate a bookstore or library when she retires from the therapy world.

MICHAEL DEMPSEY

Physical Therapist Assistant

  • Michael "Mike" Dempsey works as a Physical Therapist Assistant, providing physical therapy treatment and instruction to patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

  • Mike has been with Chipley Physical Therapy for just under a month but has been practicing in a variety of settings for the past twenty-four years.

  • Mike graduated from Marshall University with an Associates's Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Mike is also certified as a weight trainer and clinical instructor with the American Physical Therapy Association.

  • Mike enjoys playing golf in his spare time, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with his family.

Technician

  • Kaliegh Laurel, a physical therapy technician, assists our Physical Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistants in the performance of physical therapy services at the discretion of a licensed therapist or PTA.

  • Kaliegh has been with the company for nearly six years, working part-time while she completes her college education. Joining the team when she was sixteen, Kaliegh has no prior work history (save for the occasional babysitting).

  • Kaliegh graduated from Chipola College with an A.A. in Health Sciences with a concentration in Physical Therapy, and has her B.S. in Kinesiology at the University of Central Florida. She is currently working to continue her education and become a physical therapist.

  • In her spare time, Kaliegh enjoys paddle boarding, going to Bible study, and napping with her two Australian Shepherds.
